Default could TODA clutch handle 200whp? (already searched)

Ive searched, and found some opinions on the toda clutch/fw combo, lots of ppl say that they feel somewhat like the stock clutch in terms of grabbing power.

Im wondering if I plan to make about 200whp on a jdm b18c, would the toda clutch hold the power?

would I be better off going w/ clutchmaster stage II, only reason Im considering the toda setup is because it is prebalanced.

is there a way to balance the CM clutch at a shop?

sorry about all the questions, any help is appreciated...

I don't have any experience w/ one, but as for as the tons of other Toda parts I have so far. I would certainly expect the same out of one of their clutches, especially at 200 whp (which is not a tremendous amount more than stock). However, does Toda actually make those clutches, or do they just slap their name on them? BTW, I am running an ACT HDSS w/ my set-up (200 whp), and no complaints yet if you want an alternate choice.

The stock ITR clutch worked fine for my setup when it was making 199 at the wheels. It did not like to be revved to 12,000 + rpm, however. The Toda clutch should hold fine if you are making 200 at the flywheel, or even at the wheels. The thing that really hurts clutches is high rpm (aside from poor driving techniques that involve riding the clutch).

200 aren't something crazy, so i believe most clutch can handle it.

stock itr clutch works good too as long as u don't do burn out or anything crazy.

I am making 230 whp on a stock clutch and its holding fine. So I would hope a toda clutch would hold at 200 whp.

I have the toda street clutch kit.

I called akh/ toda usa before purchasing to ask questions.

They had the clutch on their car for like 1.5 years with lots of abuse and over 200whp with no problems. "still chirps 4th gear" is what they said.....

I had 188whp with stock itr clutch, and it wouldn't hold. I don't kow how people are making 200whp with stock itr clutch and it holding.....

Anyway, the toda pedal effort is only a little stiffer than stock.

For the $, I'd get a comptech AL flywheel... and maybe an action clutch or something unsprung - I like the act 6-puck for the stiff pedal and grab.....

But for an upgrade over stock, and good quality the toda parts provide - I give it Better yet, just get some toda cams and call it a day!
