ok my friend has a gsr motor and he said since hes runnign a chipped p28 and doesnt need the knock sensor i could have his. can i take his off and leave it off and not replace it on his motor? i mean will it hurt his motor if theres not a actual knock sensor on his motor??

 

if he's running a p28 he wont need it, since the p28 doesnt look for that particular sensor. However if you remove it from a car that does use it, it will mess up your timing and performance will be like crap....
<----RSZero1 is unhappy his KS is still not wired up, but will have it done tomorrow....

knock sensors are there for a reason... if you can still use it and theres use for it then use it

 

well he doesnt need it cuz he has a p28 chiped but i need it because i have a gsr ecu p72. but wil his motor be ok if i physically remove it from his block and not put something there in its place?
