Default Passed California Smog Today w/b16 in 92 hatch.

I have a 1999 b16a2 in my 1992 Si Hatch.

The motor is converted to OBD1 specs.

2 years ago I went to the CA smog referee. That went ok, but they are sooo picky. I had to return three times. That's another story in itself.

Well Smog came up again and the Smog Ref told me I didn't have go back because I replaced the stock motor with similar motor. Stock motor 1.6L Vtec engine. Replaced with 1.6L Vtec engine. I was sceptical, but that's what he told me. So I didn't return to the CA Ref. I just headed to a smog station.

Smog Station #1 - I had them do a visiual inspection first to get their reaction to the dual cam motor. They didn't even notice. lol. But their machine broke. So off to the next station.

Smog Station #2 - I did the same, they didn't notice the dual cam motor. So I said cool, lets test it. After they ran my registration into the DMV computer it came up
"test only"
So I was like, "WTF!"
I guess it a random pick. So at this time I thought I was screwed. Well we said fvck it, lets see what he says.

Test Only Station - we get there and the dudes kind of a *****. He didn't want to be very sociable. I told him I needed a smog. So he starts.
Pulls my car up on the dyno, pop's the hood. That's when I knew it was all good after he checked out the motor. He didn't say a damn thing.
Good, it passed visual. Now will it pass the sniffer, because at the smog ref two years ago it BARLY passed. But two years ago I have a GSR ECU. This time I had a P30 Del Sol ECU. So I thought the fuel/timing curves would be accurate to the motor. That's why the car barly passed before.
Well it barly passed again, I guess that 1992 Stock Cat is going bad, lol...

Too bad it's coming off tonight and getting replaced with a test pipe.

My Rev Hard 2C turbo kit gets installed tonight.

True, but that's the chance we take in California with modified Imports.

But the turbo can come off in 30 mins. So no big deal. . .
