Default Rear shock swap...

I just did a rear shock swap on my 89 CRX si, the shocks(and springs) i used were from a 95 GSR integra( got then for free). now for the funny part, now the back end of my CRX is way up in the air!! it makes it looks like a drag racer, but the rear shocks sure do work well!! now is this safe? and will the front shocks(and springs from a 95 GSR) fit on my CRx?

Yes they will fit but by the car being raised you will be inducing alot of positive camber and you don't want that .

Low is the way to go

So the best thing to do would just be to cannabalize the shock assembly and put my old CRX Si springs in the front?( with the GSR shocks of course)....well thanks for the responses...

You could try cutting the GSR springs. Just make sure they are the exact same length on both sides.

NO they will NOT fit. I tried the same thing with my 99
Si shocks and they did not fit. The bottom of the front
shocks are fatter than the CRX shocks. Someone told me
to get the 92+ forks so they could fit, but after i did
that, the shocks still did not fit. They are longer
than the CRX shocks. Again i tried them with the Civic
shocks, i'm not sure if the integra one are any
different. But to my experience they did not fit.

Thanks for the reply, i did look at them and they looked a lot fatter on the bottom compared to the stock CRX, but so did the rear shocks, but they fit perfectly. so i guess only CRX shocks(front) will only fit huh? I also found out that left and right front CRX shocks have different part numbers, is this true?

I'm not sure about the part#.
P.S. My rears did not fit either. The mounting fork was
too narrow on my stock shocks.

Well, I guess I'll just have to see this weekend when I tear apart my front end for no apparent reason, I have the GSR fronts just laying around, so I hope they fit....
