Default HELP! Something really bad happened! AGG!! Need help ASAP!!!

OKay, i dont know how vital this is, but im pretty sure it is. I was just gently pulling these out to clean some oil off the valve cover, and BAM, this part just came out. It looks like the wires got ripped or something and the plastic piece thats long and goes over the sparkplug stayed in the hole, and when i try to take it out, it comes out but the little metal piece stays in there! Where can i find a new one of these? What will it do being ripped? ANd how much will it cost to fix! Please help with any info ASAP! Thanks!

just time to replace your plug wires, if you can get the boot off just pull the plug and use something to grab the metal piece and put the plug back in.

Alright, so what exactly broke? I just need one, the other ones are fine.. this really sucks.. is it going to be bad to drive my car like this tho? How much will a "set" run me? Also, is there really a quality diff between brands, like will i lose or gain performance depending on what i buy? So when i go into autozone, what should i ask them for? Thanks!

that little wire is what is kinked in the little metal piece. ya cant just buy one so ya have to get a full set, cheep ones will be about $17 from auto zone. just look at the size and try to get an 8mm or 7mm wire. wont be as good as some other wires but it will get you by. what motor is that?

yea good idea, try napa autozone does suck,

Actually im not mechanically inclined in some parts, but in others, i just dunno whats going on, i know some complex ****, but some really simple stuff boggles my mind sometimes. LOL. Would Advanced auto parts have these parts, the good ones? they are right down the road!

edit: LOL i put i was mechanically inclined, okay, my brain has shut off for today.

i bought my wires for $30 canadian, so around $20 american. akthough they're supposed to be a pretty good quality set, i work at the store so i know most of the lines there.

Do not get the 91 teg LS wires. Get the 89 teg wires. I have a DOHC ZC too, trust me you need the 88-89 teg ones.
