Default Good RSX Intake

I've currently got a comptech cat back on my rsx-s and it sounds pretty nice(deepest exhaust I've heard for RSX). I wanted to get some input on some good short ram intakes (can't do CAI live in Vermont, too much **** on the roads). Anything that is not going to set off the CEL and gets some good gains in hp and response. Thanks

Any name brand should be good, AEM, Injen, K&N, Neuspeed etc. Depends on the look and theme you're after. BTW the heat shields on all SRI's are bogus, don't base your decision on that feature.

get the dc- on all of the dyno charts i have seen it nets about 1 hp less than the aem- but the install is waaaay easier- & you still gain (supposedly) about 18.5ish hp to the wheels. and i am referring to teh dc sports DAC (CAI)

The Injen SRI is the best SRI out there. Proven in Dyno comps.

Well since you can not get a CAI, I would recommend the Injen SRI. But one thing you should know is that no matter what information or so called dyno specs provided by the company don't believe the numbers. The injen has given some good gains, from those who have dynoed the car on clubrsx.com.

But one thing you must keep in mind is that as temperatures rise, the power will start to drop. As for the heat shield idea, it helps but very little. Best thing is to just wrap the intake pipe and heat shield with thermo-wrap which helps reduce heat a bit.

As for the intake throwing a CEL, this should not happend unless you have installed the intake wrong and forgot to re-install the sensor right, or you sucked up water into your intake and you car is now dead. So do not worry about throwing a CEL from an intake.

Well good luck bro.

Very doubtful.

i think so too; but that's what all of the dyno's (that I have seen) show. i think that those numbers are very optimistic- but i don't have anything to show different.

AEM or Injen intake will do the trick! Stick w/ name brand all the way!

DO NOT GET AEM sri, you get what you pay for... I used to use that shitty *** intake, and I don't know it felt like it lost a grip of power downlow especially compared with the injen cold air I have now. I have ridden in both injen and aem sri type s cars ( just in case someone will claim im bias cuz i only have experience with one ) the injen one pulls harder on the top end, but still has the low end bog. I guess it's a flaw in all shorty designs.

thats right, free advertisement for all the name brand products. everyone knows that statistacally the dynos prove hp doesnt necessarily mean you HAVE to go with name brand!!!!!!! yO!!!! hopefully everyone knows that you guys also pay for the name, which might be half if not most the cost of the product?!
