Default Will a GSR spoiler fit on a ITR?

I am picking up my new ITR in 2 weeks and the first thing I am going to do, besides rip the ITR stickers & emblems off, is take the rear spoiler off. I would like to put a GSR spoiler on there and was wondering if it will bolt right up? I know I'll have to make a hole for the third brake light wire, but what about the 4 mounting holes? Also does the black paint of a GSR match the black Type R? Thanks for the help.

y are you switching the Wings? Y not just take it off if you are going to take the R one off. I say leave the Badges & stickers on. It looks better.

To many damn thevies in my area, my old GSR was attempted to be broken into 4 times with in 6 months. Plus the last thing I want to do is buy a new car and come out one morning to see my paint all fucked up from someone ripping off the emblems. The stickers are ugly imo. Also I dont think it looks that good with out a spoiler, and I dont want to have to take it to a body shop to fill in the holes. Thanks for the help.

The GSR spoiler has the brake light on it also. Does that mean you will be removing your stock brake light right underneath the rear windows???
A smart crook will notice that, AND the 5 lugs....
I dont know how hardcore sleeper you wanna get, but GSR's get stolen too...trust me, i have been there...so maybe you want to go for the LS look? hehehe...

I think that would be pretty cool to have a Type R look like a GSR!

A GSR with no sunroof...WTF?!?! go for it man!

Yea I konw, anybody that knows anything about integras will see it does not have the side molding, the 5 lugs, the higher tac. I just dont like the ITR wing and I dont want people ******* up my paint by taking the red emblems (I'm going to replace them with the GSR ones). And I do not like the ITR stickers on the side or rear, I even took off the VTEC sticker on my GSR. I'm not try to go for a sleeper, I am just trying to make it look good to me. So will the gsr spoiler bolt right up? And yes I am going to remove the third brake light in the rear window if I get a GSR spoiler. Dunno what I'm going to do about the two holes that the light bolts up to though. I've also got a **** load off work to make it a little more theif proof (i.e. move the hood cable, put an alarm sensor on the hood, block the hood cable in the front, etc...).

Hey Craig,
I just got my 2001 GSR today. So I TOO have a lot of work to do. Let's say you and bud some idea's and see what we can come up with.
Email me: indy17@aol.com
I have a couple idea's, I am not technical so I am going to need someone to show me the ropes but my idea's should be able to be done...
let me know, I wanna slow down these theives as much as possible...

PS- I also ordered a home surveillance system for the car. It has Night Vision camera with motion sensors. Cheap too, let me know I should be getting it next week if it works out I`ll show you how to set it up....

Kewl, here are a few things I did to my GSR when I had it.

1) Move the hood release cable from the driver side fender to inside the hood. It is a little tight but it can be done. There is a rubber grommet right next to where the hood release is, simply run it through there and inside the engine bay. Then toward the front of the car, run it back under the front where it originaly was.

2) Get an alarm and also pick up an extra door sensor for you hood. Make a little bracket to hold the sensor (the one i made holds the sensor and is also a guide for the hood release cable). Then simply splice the sensor into your door sensor and you are done.

3) Blocker for the hood release cable at the front of the car. This one was a little bit hard and took some to to bend the metal plate. If you lay down under the front of you car and reach your hand up in front of the radiator, you should be able to grab the hood release cable. Theives simply do this and pull on it and POP, you hood is now open. What I did was bend a peice of aluminum plate (about 3/16 thick) and make a big U channel. Then I drilled a hole and bolted it up to the hood hatch and another bolt at the other end of the cable. So now when you look up fron under the car, all you see is an aluminum plate and no cable.

I'll take pictures and give complete instructions when I do this to my R.

I'm also going to pick up a pair of LS door handles. I did not do this to my GSR, but I'm going to do it for the R. What I did on the GSR was install a relay so the switch worked when the power was on. But when the power was off, they would only lock, not unlock. This was done simply by finding a wire from the power windows that was hot (powered) when the car was on and not powered when the car was off. I spliced the unlock wire (there are two wires, one for lock and one for unlock) and put a relay in between. The other end of the relay was hooked up to the hot wire from the window switch. So when the car was turned on, power was sent to the relay and closed it so the unlock function worked, turn the car off and no more unlock, but I could still lock it.

The reason I am not doing this to the R, is thieve will not know you did this, so they will still try to get the switch with a wire. It will not unlock the car, but they might fudge the paint up.

Wow this is exactly what I need to be doing to my Teg....
Are the LS and RS inner door handles the same? I want to get rid of my power door locks. There is a post on here somewhere that gives you the stock number for each side. I would also like to shave off the outta door handles so you cant pop out the key hole. But I will need a keyless entry system first or else I just screwed myself. hehehe.
What about trunk locks? Did you ever think about that?
They can easily get through the hatch, climb in and voila???
Whats your recommendation on using trunk locks?

I hope you get the pics posted soon, I definitley need to fix the hood release cable and what not...

I've never heard of anybody braking into an integra through the trunk so I never messed with it. I should do something about the lock because I never used the damn thing anyway. Oh well, I'll have a post up on the fixes I metioned above in about 2 weeks when I get my new car.
