how much ligther is the dc2 RS compared to the ls/gs/gsr which have moonroof (and any other stuff?)

i thought all coupes from 94-01 were dc2's and the 4doors where db8s?

 

DC2 is a 3 door integra with VTEC. DC4 is a 3 door integra with non-vtec.

I guess that extra 50lbs is because of the LSD, 5-lug, and spoiler

Yea, but whats weird is the RS has the normal amount of sound deadining. I'm guessing that since the unibody is stonger, that is were the weight comes in.

 

ITR has different welding on the chasis? does that matter??

 

All the additional weight in the R is good weight though.

--Much bigger brakes
--reinforced chassis
--larger swaybars
--vtec stuff
--5 lug
--strut tower bars

etc...

Certainly well worth the weight.

4-dr VTEC (that includes USDM GSR sedan and JDM ITR sedan) are DB8, but 4-dr non-VTEC are DB7.

I totally agree with ya

I like how light my RS is but it needs VTEC, the LSD, and a better suspension.

 

But for those of you who autox, the 94-95 RS 5-speed is a great car to have for STS. Probably better than the GSR due to the weight.

Note that the ITR goes to STX because of the diff.

Yea, I've aready had somebody offer to buy my car from me at a race. I told him that I'd have to have a GSR in return if I was to give up my autocross fun
