Default Help! My clutch went out! Do I need just the disc or whole kit?

Hey guys. I was driving my 92 Teg with 180,000 miles on it. Clutch pedal felt funny and after about 2 stoplights I couldn't change gears. Pedal didn't do much of disengaging/engaging. had to match revs and slam it into gear to get home. Slipped too.

Anyways from what I read sounds like a spring popped out of the disc. I'm about to get out there and start taking my car apart. My question is, can I just put a new disc in, or should I get a whole new kit? Do I need to resurface flywheel? I don't have more than $350 in the bank. Any help would be appreciated.

I live in the Atlanta area and anyone wants to come help ($$) would be rad. Thanks in advance guys.

spring came out, you will need a new pressure plate. might want to replace friction disk too if you were experiencing slipping and if the disk already has lots of miles. Resurface flywheel; check if its smooth, but you will most likely have to.

search the best buys, as they have clutch kits (pp,friction disk, and throw out bearing) for around 250-300. i think it was http://www.clutchcity.com or something of the sort.

The spring that came out is probably one of the ones in the hub of the friction disc, therefore it will definitely need to be replaced.

Clutch didn't slip at all before. It felt new. Suprised the hell out of me.

So the spring that came out is it one of the ones in the clutch disc itself or some other spring?
