Painting 90-91 crx si wheels...
I want to paint my crx si wheels cause theyre all cruddy lookin...does anyone know what the stock color is called? or should I paint them another color? like black...
i've seen black and it looks kinda nice, but then again i'm sure the whole "black wheel" thing will go "out of style" within a year at the most. seriously, just go by what you like. keep in mind you can never go wrong with stock. i'm sure any silver would be close enough to the untrained eye.
Don't care to much for the red but someone at my school painted theres yellow
I'd stay w/stock. Its most likely a silver metalic w/lots of clear coat, you might wanna try it out on some thing else first

Just did mine the other day.
Sand them down with a 200 grit sandpaper, clean them with a little soap and mostly water mix, let dry, pick up a can of Duplicolor Silver from AutoZone, and voila! I got a can of clearcoat for it, but I really like how they look without it.
stock color please!!! Ive seen flat black and glossy black and its ust booty looking
Leave that color to the HX rims
Please dont paint them black

That's a sick picture!
Yeah, leave 'em stock color. Like the guy before me said, the silver Duplicolor wheel paint at AutoZone should look nice.

The only ppl I see in the thread that have them backwords is the the person that painted his white. Everyone else has them going the right way.

When i had my '91 Si alloys i thought about painting them black but came to the conclusion that they wouldnt look too good. Just repaint them silver.

I think the rims look better facing the way of the white car.
