For Those Who Own Clutchmasters Flywheels and have replace the metal plate.
I have to replace the plate on my flywheel and am curious to know whether or not the screws and nuts that hold it on must be torqued or just gotten as tight as possible. Clutchmasters has no info sent w/ the flywheel and there isn't anything on the site. Any help would be appreciated. Kinda need to know by 4:00 Central time on Friday.
I've never replaced one. But if I were in your situation I would use some medium strength threadlock and torque all bolts to the same spec.
For example, if you decide to torque one to 40 ft-lbs, then all the friction surface bolts should be at 40 ft-lbs as well. Make sure you criss-cross the torqueing sequence to ensure the friction surface seats evenly.

Yea, thats what I would have done if there wasn't any torque specs, just wanted to make sure before doing so, cause it would be a pain to have to do it again.
My friend replaced his that he got from fidanza and the instructions said to torque them to 76 ft/lbs. No particular order on the tightening sequence.

Are you sure you are talking about the surface plate and not what your torque the bolt that connect the flywheel to the block?
