OT: Who do you waive to?
I may be opening up a can of worms with this one, but anyway.
Do any of you ITR owners ever waive back to cars other than ITRs?
I have people constantly beeping at me since the addition of the Phoenix Yellow. That's why I love driving the CW when I don't want the attention.
I am not saying I am better than the people in the Neons, VWs, WRXs, and such, but I never waive to them. The only people I waive or beep back to are Integra owners and the S2000 owners who give a thumbs up.
Not quite sure even why I'm asking this question. I guess I feel like a ***** for not acknowledging people who like the car, but I don't know them and the car they drive is completely different. As ridiculous as it sounds, I understand that there is this unwritten chain of command, but I don't beep or waive to S2000s, NSXs, Supras, etc. if I see them because I wouldn't expect them to acknowledge me. Maybe I am an arrogant ***** afterall! Hehe.
Sort of a useless topic, but I am interested to know how other ITR owners react.

Maybe its a carry-over from my Miata, but I generally give a small wave to other ITR's. Usually I get a response. It's nothing too new though since I did the same thing, and got responses, when I drove the 'Vette.
On the Miata forum, they actually talk about how they get offended when other Miata owners don't wave back... just keep in mind that not everyone is an enthusiast, but most ITR owners probably are.
With the Miata, probably one out of ten actually bought it because they love the car, the rest just bought it for cheap, top-down transportation. I'd guess though that 9 out of 10 ITR owners bought the ITR for more than just basic transportation.
So maybe the wave is acceptable most times...
i wave at any car i think looks cool and bikers. This list includes but is not limited to RX7s, Supras, 3000GT VR4, Mustang Cobras, SS, WS6, Muscle cars in general... the list goes on. All bikers too, sport or harley
I'll wave to all itR's and any nice looking GSRs, Civics, 'Ludes, etc.
Gotta admit I'll get irked if another itR owner doesn't wave back. (only happened once and put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day!)

most of the time I just get reved at even by R owners until I pull up next to one at a light and start conversation then they lighten up a little other wise most people just give a dirty look and act like they want to race I don't know if they are jealous or what
Trending Topics
down here there's a bunch of haters ( jealous i guess ) like the other day i pulled next to a 2001 yellow ITR bone-Stock and i was like" hey whats up nice car you have there" and all this dick said was "wanna race? " so i had to take him out. Also i get reved at by anyone and anything ...even when i didnt have an ITR i used to complement everyone that had one ..first thing i do when i go to the tracj or street races is say hi to anyone with an R.
Mostly if they drive a Performance car such as Civic SI, GSRs, VW GTI or Celicas and they give a thumb up or honk, I will reply...
but if I see an ITR, I am the one waving, honkin, beeping, etc-etc...
most of the time ITR owners that I don't know in person will only wave, honk back or just plainly try to look cool, which is fine with me...

I wave to any s2000, any hot girl, and any tough guy in a camaro to **** him off. I have yet to see another itr while driving mine (i live in North Dakota) but would wave for sure. I only wave back to people if i know them or if their car deserves respect.
If i see a car, i like i usually give a thumbs up or a wave. It doesn't really matter to me..bike, truck, car. It pisses me off when they just look at you like you're not good enough to wave. Just my thoughts.
I'm generally an ******* to other drivers, am I the only one?
Maybe its cuz of the NY/NJ area... people are generally ******** here.
Wasn't there a thread long lond time ago about ITR owners being a-holes?

I wave to other ITRs, S2000s, NSX, because there is that Honda thing. Too often, people in lesser cars try to look all hard at you, so I dont look at them. Sometimes I'll get beeped, waved, or thumb-upped by someone in a GS-R or Si. One time I got waved at by a guy in a Grand Am and it turned out to be TypeRmsm riding with some friends. I don't wave to Mustangs unless I'm driving mine, or Supras, or anything else really. However, if I see a Viper, Ferrari, Lamborghini, or old rare car, I'll wave, because you know those guys are enthusiasts with no reason to try to compete with you, like an owner of a car comparable to the ITR might. when I see those cars I beep and pump my fist out the window, especially the Italian cars.

That's funny, I thought when ricey-looking Civics passed you by, you raced them, and if they kept up, you got mad and decided to get a turbo? That was you right?
BTW youre right about the NY/NJ thing. they are dicks.
Well, I mostly beep my horn at Mexicans and people walking down the road. I wave to people with the really cool cars. I flick off the kids at "Euro Tuning" because they all laugh at me when I go by. They act like total ricers with their big wings and stickers so what do they know? I also wave to old people too and hot chics! When I have a friend with me, we play a game where I honk at every car that passes us and get them to wave. It's pretty fun, but the horn gets damn annoying.

Are there really a lot of R drivers who are not car guys? I know Rs are very popular in Canada but not like that - thats a damn shame.
Just my opinion.

Integras, Sis, CRX Sis, S2Ks, E30 M3s, WRXs, Impreza 2.5RSs... In other words performance coupes. But today I spied a Grand National pacing me on the fwy and we both 'thumbed up' the other.
hmm... I'm from Toronto as well, and I try to wave to other ITRs, but I haven't got much response so far. Most of the time, they don't even look my way, or they're so riced out that I don't really feel like waving. Hoping to meet some more mature ITR drivers soon, and maybe bumping into u so at least i'll get a wave back...
Generaly i make it a point to waive at all the local law enforcement, they usually smile and waive back too, and sometimes they even take a second or two to talk to me about my car, some just give me and dirty look and a half a head nod, usually the younger rookies. The older ones are pretty cool though because most of them have admitted to the good ole days when they used to street race! I also like to waive to all the yahoos in their big nasty trucks with open exhaust or straight pipes, and anyone else who waives at me. Oh yeah, i can't forget the ladies, i waive at all the ladies. As for all the little tip racers with type r stickers all over thier cars they get a nice big smile and a waive, followed by a thumbs down and a nice big frown!
i wave to chicks that show me there boobies. That is one of the benefits of having and R.
Oh and i wave to other ITR owners too. Its like a secret society that most people just wouldn't understand. we are the few the proud!!!!
