Cutting Stock Springs
This guy who works at a shop tells me that to install stock springs are real pain to do, will cutting the stock spring make it easier for him to put back on?
Another question, If I wanted to lower the car by cutting the spring, Is there a way to do this with the spring still on the vehicle or should I take the whole thing off to cut and what do I cut the spring with? Do I cut the spring at the top or at the bottom? (Cutting spring is just a temporary thing until I get my ground control coilovers)

No you can't cut the spring on the car, thats asking for even more problems than cutting your springs comes with anyway. Do yourself a favor, don't cut your springs. You can find a set of lowering springs from the For Sale forum sometimes for under a bill. Or just wait for your GCs.

Yes installing stock springs is a pain in the ****, but do not cut the stock springs. It is bad for the shocks and makes the car unsafe. Just wait until you get the GC's.
installing stock springs is NOT a pain its like installing any other springs.. all u neeed is the thing i dont know what u call it but it compresses the spring to make the installation EZ.. if u dont have it... u can rent it from pep boys or autozone
or even just take ur shocks to a mechanic and he can do it for u as most of them have that thingy...
and plzz dont say its a pain in the ***.. as its NOT u lazy guys..

you ever done it before? The spring compressors you rent from auto stores are difficult enough to use as it is w/ the spring on the shock. Trying to compress them down far enough to get them back on is even harder. I personally haven't done it but friends of mine have, and they say doing that job SUCKS.
