Upgraded Rotors!!!?!???
Anyone know which would be better to get, cross-drilled rotors or just slotted or neither? I'm mainly looking for one that will last the longest and not warp or crack. I have considered getting brembo cross-drilled/slotted rotors, but started to hear that they are unsafe and aren't as good as blanks? I really want to get some new rotors quick b/c my rotors are warped and my brakes suck. Which are the best? Should I go with brake lines, pads and rotors...either or what? Help!
go with brembo or autozone blanks... axis ultimate pads..ATE brake fluid.. and if u want some goodridge or earl's brake lines.. even a simple M/C upgrade with just pads and fluid will make a night a day difference from your stock setup good luck
get blanks. don't waste the money on slotted. They warp just as easily as blanks and cost 3 times as much. I just replaced both of my front warped slotted rotors with a set of brembo blanks. Good pads, ate brake fluid and you will be happy.

That's what I have and I love it. But just get some blanks and a decent set of pads from AutoZone if you're on a budget - otherwise get some ATE fluid and Axxis pads.

Never heard that before. I've been running Brembo crossdrilled on my EH for a year. No problems. Brembo crossdrilled or slotted rotors aren't going to warp, they'll just wear down, probably create a lip at the edge of the rotor. The only dissadvatage to C/D or slotted is they can't be resurfaced.
I just replaced my rotors w/ Brembo blanks. They work great as well, and a whole lot cheaper.

cheap crossdrilled rotors can crack and quality crossdrilled have been known to crack under extreme conditions. Yes, slotted rotors will warp just as easily as blanks. I just took a warped set of slotted rotors off of my car a few weeks ago. I am now running on brembo blanks which brake every bit as good as the slotted rotors did before they warped.

From what I've heard, just get blanks unless you want to drop $2-4k down on some 4-piston calipers and slotted rotors. If you wanna do that, check out stoptech, I've heard only good things about them. Brembo's good too, but about 2 times as expensive.

Yes they can...take them to a flywheel and clutch shop....they can be resurfaced teh same way a flywheel is lighten'd or just resurfaced......I did mine.....works great!!

That estimate is a bit exagerative - atleast if you're talking about the Wilwood kit.

brembo blanks and i would suggest getting some performance pads. when i had stock civic brakes on my hatch i swapped the pads for a set of porterfield r4s's and they made a hug difference, althouth the downfall is that performance pads will dust a lot more than stock pads. also try using some dot 3 or 4 brake fluid, like motul or ate. for added braking power look into swapping out your master cylinder and brake booster with an 99-00si or integra.
Brembo blanks are what I'm running, I am doing a brake job (still in the process) and I have Brembo blanks, AEM pads, Goodridge stainless lines all the way around w/ DOT 4 fluid. I haven't got a chance to test it out yet, cause I'm having a problem with the rear calipers bolting up.

You will like that setup
I'm running the same just no ss lines and I'm very happy with it.
