Axle problems continue. Stupid vibration!
The story
Back in Dec. I ordered a new set of axles from Raxles because several of you guys recommended them. After the install I had a vibration during acceleration. Called the guy at Raxles up & he sent another driverside axle. He said he usually doesn't have any axles come back. Anyways in Jan. the vibration came back again & I now have some time to mess with it. I have also noticed that the driverside outer boot had developed some cracks in it. I called the guy back up at Raxles today & he said it is because my car is lowered & unless I raise it, it will keep doing that no matter how many axles I install, but I never had a vibration problem with my old axles. BTW my car is lowered at the most 2" probably more like 1.5".
The question
Does a lowered car cause all these problems, or is it a problem with the new axles?
If its the axles where can I get axles that are suited for lower cars? Any help is appreciated.

Lowering a car will not cause the boots to crack. The boots go through the same range of motions whether it's lowered or not, especially the outer boots because they flex when you steer the wheels. I have the original axles on my car at 135K miles, and the boots on mine only have the normal dry-rot cracks that rubber tends to get. The car has been lowered for about 30K miles now (2.5" drop in front on POS H&R Sport springs). My boots are starting to leak, and I will probably have to replace them in the near future, but as for cracks, there are none to speak of.
Also the stock axles have balancers on them (the donut things attached to the actual axle shafts). Did the Raxles ones come with those?

The first one didn't but the second(current) one does.
Yeah my originals lasted 150k then the boots just wore out. Thats why I don't understand cracking on brand new axles.

Never had a problem until I changed axles. Then when I put the second one in it went away for about a month. Only does it under acceleration.

I had this problem...the retard at the shop made me get new axles claiming they were the cause. WRONG! it was the half-shaft. There is a half-shaft that can warp or bend...not sure how mine did, but it did...check that.

I had vibration problems under acceleration on my old car, both times it happened it was because of the axles. In at least one of the cases the inner joint somehow went bad, although the boots were not broken or anything.
I almost bought bought from raxles, but last minute decision I went with autozone. They are working fine for the last few months. At 120$ for both sides(with core exchange) it's half the price of raxles and you get a lifetime warranty.
