Sick of my clutch
i have a hyper clutch 6 puck and i am over it. it was cool at first but i just got sick of it. but anyways isn't there a way to make the clutch less agressive?
LOL
Is your calf muscle larger on the left foot than on the right foot now?
I dont think you can make it less agressive.
Look into the ACT HDSS clutch. 55% increase over stock with smooth enagement. You'll be more happy with that.
Runs about 500 bux.
Do you sitll have your OEM clutch to ride around on while you sell your 6puck?

I dont know about the GSR stock clutch, but the original stock clutch on my JDM Integra Si (GSR equivalent) was heavy as hell, i replaced it about 2 months back with an OEM ITR clutch and when we finished putting every thing back together again and i took my car out for a drive to check everything worked good, i could have swore that we had in some way dis-connected the clutch cable, the pedal went to the floor with near to no effort, it took a little while to get used to, and for a while i was really thumping it hard each gear shift, but now that i'm used to it, i owuldnt change it to anything else, it bites harder and the less stiff pedal is a lot easier to use around town.
You can still use the bolstered pressure plate that came with the 6puck system and mate it to a stock clutch disc. I have this setup, it works well. I got tired of having to rev my car to 3500 just to get it moving REAL fast.

CM flywheel with a 7.5 lb flywheel, even more money
But I'm just running stage 1 cuz that's all I need. Right now pedal effort is very light, but I heard it might stiffen up later. The engine revs very quickly, and even with keeping it below 4K rpm cuz I'm still breaking it in, I can already tell the car is faster off the line. 14 second ET's here I come.

i have an act hdss clutch in mine with 12.5 act flywheel and its not too bad. but i still like the feel of my buddies stock gsr clutch. just a little more play in the clutch pedal from the floor and engages a bit smoother. but the hdss is pretty smooth on engagement.

Can somebody tell me what is failing on Exedy clutches?
Exedy (Daiken) is the OE manufacturer of most if not all Honda clutches.

I dont no why every one hates exedy i did a search on alot of site this site everyone hate them team-integra everyone says there good ? why are they that bad i have the organic racing clutch but have not yet put it in.
The racing clutch sometimes has a problem with the clutch plate fingers being pressed too far into the clutch disc. There's a bulletin exedy gives out with the racing clutch. Basically there is too much travel when you press the clutch and the throwout bearing gets squished and also the clutch fingers grind into the spring area on the clutch disc. Their solution is to simply adjust pedal travel and it should fix the problem. The problem seems to be more prevalent with ITRs. Some people with ITRs say they did adjust the pedal travel and still ended up destroying the clutch disc and to bearing.
That being said, Ive put on over 5k on my exedy and it is doing fine so far. hth

I know what you mean, I have a Clutchnet clutch, I started getting tired of it, now, on launches, I just rev it up higher and Im able to let it out alittle faster and its smoother. Try it before you swap anything out.
