H23 help
my friend has a 92 Prelude Si with a broken timing belt. I would like your opinions on what to rebuild it with. right now it is sitting with at least 4 bent valves and I have no clue what the pistons look like. any help or opinions are greatly appreciated.
after you have a clue what the pistons look like, you will have an idea if its even possible.
valve could have broken and been bounced around inside for a bit.

stock valves don't break that easily. they are made to bend and i bent valves quit a few time once on the freeway @ 4500 RPMS and they only bent. Since you were already slowing down in neutral they are probably just bent, but you know you will never know until you become the mad scientist and take her head off.

i bent 2 of my valves...and had to rebuild the head...paid about $1600cad...i say you get a longblock h22a and build from there or just a bare block and head...and get it sleeved and ported and polished...get forged internals...go crazy...it shouldn't cost you that much if you buy the bare block and head and work from there....it will cost you time though!
i wish i would have done that to begin with...now i'm stuck with a h23 for a while...i'm gonna build from scratch!
