I'm ordering the bits and pieces for my turbo and it's down to the gaskets. I have the gaskets that came with my tial, but I know those are junk so I'm ordering some fire ring's from road race.

But how about the t3 inlet gasket that goes between the manifold and turbo? And also the gasket that goes between turbo and downpipe? I never hear about those so I wonder if they are really needed... but it also just seems odd to not use them. Here's some pics:

You can get this one at any parts store on a Ford dealership. For a 84 SVO turbo Mustang.

 

You dont have to use a gasket on your manifold/turbo. Well i dont anyways

 

The one for a 14b is only 6 bucks from the local dealer. So I figure, why not have the added security?

 

I've never ran gaskets between turbo and manifold and turbo and downpipe, no leaks at all. As long as both surfaces are flat and true. Paul

 

well even though people are telling you its ok not to run without them, if you do decide to get them, i believe http://www.cheapturbo.com has both of those gaskets. I know for a fact they have between manifold and turbo flange.
