Suspension help - KYB AGX adjustable struts - please help.
I have a 89 CRX DX, and the front of the car is very bouncy now. My mechanic says the strut is bottoming out, and that I need shorter struts. I talked to another mechanic and he recommended KYB AGX adjustables. I am lowered with Neuspeed sport springs 2". I thought the AGX's would blow out if you were running a 2" drop. Is this true?
What are my other options? Is there a company that makes shorter struts? Please help me out!

I've running Neuspeed Race springs and AGX's on my car for a couple months now. I haven't had any problems with bottoming out. But I know KYB will not warranty your struts for anything over a 1.5 inch drop.

I've got KYBs on my 89 si and I also have H&R sport springs (read: 1.9" drop) and I've been running with this setup for almost 2 eyars now and they're great. I like the adjustability for auto-x.

agx shocks will not blowout on that drop they are 5way adjustable I beleive and you can make them very stiff also did u totally remove your bumpstops?? cause make sure you just trim them in half and keep them on......I'm putting on some rear gr2's on my car tomorrow I got a big drop but I cant afford the pay out what the agx's are worth so I went gr2's all around I'll have to replace them again next year probably
Okay...your car is bouncing now because you presumably have your OEM shocks still on the car. These do not have enough resistance to slow the motion that the Neuspeed sport springs create, hence the bouncing.
You will feel the car hit the bumpstops if you bottom out. THWACK! BOING boing boing.
Any aftermarket shocks will benefit you greatly. Shorter shocks are not an option - none are made for our cars specifically, and you don't need them with a sport drop.
I am running the Neuspeed sports with Bilsteins, which are non-adjustable, and it rides great. AGX's will work fine, Tokico Blues or Illuminas will hold up well, and the best route to go would be Koni Yellows.

i have the agx adjustables n' they rock ... had no problem with them yet .. but i had a question .. my agx are adjustable four ways .. one to four .. was it four being the stiffest or one being the stiffest .. i had it on two this whole time for front n' back
Well, I've got Tokico blues in the front now, but the tires are straight up and down because of the camber kit. So I'm thinking the struts don't have enough room to move. I'm going Monday to have the shop put a little negative camber on the front because the car didn't bounce at all before the camber kit was installed. We'll see how that works out.
BTW, how much do you want for the struts? Have they been installed? Let me know, I'll keep ya in mind if the negative camber doesn't help.

warranty, for anything 2.0" or shorter, as I believe.
