Default Torque for 5th Gear nuts on '86-'87 Integ

I recently purchased an '86 Integra and need to replace both 5th gear main and countershaft 5th. I need to have a better idea of what to torque or gap the shaft nuts at. I've heard "torque the hell out of them" and "only torque them to 20lbs max." I know the former is incorrect because they were hardly torqued when I took them off (one was actually "free") but I would like to know what gap or torque wrench setting is correct.
thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

I'll try to check my Helm manual tonight... The 5th gear simply slides onto the mainshaft. No torquing of any sort there.

You are correct. Its not the gears that need to be torqued but the nuts that hold both 5th gear assemblies on. The nuts are 30mm and are smaller versions of the ones that hold the drive shafts on.
