Default The Sil80

my friends car.. piece by piece the car is coming together nicely.. finished up the S14 5 lug swap today w/ 300zx NA brakes up front..

its miata blue, not baby blue.. for those of you who were gonna say " baby blue is rice"

anywho.. the front is a little damaged, but will be fixed all in good time..

like the tail lights? i do.

oh, i forgot to mention the sr20det.. its an s13 blacktop with a nicely painted valve cover.. basic bolt ons, with a lovely s14 t28 turbo.. pulls harder and harder the higher the RPM needle goes..

nice shot of the 16x7 +15 CPR's..

Nice. You have almost the exact same set up as me, except mine is white. I just put the $700 Downpayment on the front end, and just got my Kouki taillights yeaterday. I sold my 5Zigen rims and ordered Gunmetal Volk Gram lites. Ordered the Veilside sides, Abflug front, and bomex rear. Hopefully in 3 months I will be at the same stage as you.

those tires don't look very quality, but it may just be me not looking close enough.

fix the damage? this coming from MTK, lover of all things used and abused 'like they were meant to be.'

is an intercooler on the short list?

btw that color looks alot better on that car than any miata i have seen.

Is your friend still using the stock intercooler behind the fender well?

i dont think so, stock bov is located on the intercooler. so the aftermarket blitz tt bov replaced his i guess.. i hope he doesnt have any problems. but their are some shitty bov that cause boost leak

lol, well hes been wearing that scar proudly for almost a year now.. and hes sick of the rock chips in the front, so it just came to him that "its about that time to get it fixed" but its not one of the top priorities, surprisingly.. he wants to do suspension and tires..

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SonicBlueTeg &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> yuuum.. red top.. and cpr's.. i'm in love... </TD></TR></TABLE>

its a black top with an orange valve cover
funny story about the CPR's.. he went to buy R32 wheels, but the CPR's were only $400.. i guess its only the honda crowd that worship cpr's.. i do love them though.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by hanson said &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">those tires don't look very quality, but it may just be me not looking close enough.

the tires are temporary

a body kit is made for looks, not abuse.. so i dont see anything wrong with him fixing his aesthetic parts..

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by hanson said &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">call me nissan-illiterate, but i seem to remember there being a problem with running a bov on the sr20...does this car have troubles with it?</TD></TR></TABLE>

nope.. neither does mine.. something on the AFC fixes the problem.. basically all it is, when u come to a stop, the car just idles bad, and even stalls out.. but there is some correction with the afc and the cars run fine now.. just no more cold start.. thats the only shitty part..

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by EKFerioHawaii &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Is your friend still using the stock intercooler behind the fender well?

yeah hes got the sidemount .. after his suspension is done, hes gettin a front mount..

that car put down 212/194 .. and its not that heavy.. and with those brakes.. it stops on a dime.. speaking of which.. my brakes are getting put on tomorrow..

Oh man that is pretty! That car is done right!

Just out of curiousity, did he use the OEM HID? or did he change them out for LHD projectors?
