hondata reflash....opinions
i want everyones opinions on this and the company as far as their quality. and wether or not it is worth the 600....especialyl cause whenever cams come out for our cars....won't it be worthless???
I thought it was worth the 580 i spent, but thats just my opinion. You can throw in type r cams and then get the k20a reflash or better yet do it all in one pop and save the 200 dollar reflash charge. It's been dyno proven to make even more power than just the k20a2 hondata 4 program.
However, If you're planning on going FI thats a completly diffrent story because I know hondata will make some reflashes just for FI setups, if they havn't already, and i believe jackson racing is working along side hondata to bring an ecu out when the supercharger is ready.
The company is very reputable, and if you ever go onto clubrsx you would know that the owner of hondata (doug) frequently visits the board as long as this board answering questions and what not. So through my eyes they deserve a

sorry...should have clarified my setup.....i have an A3, so i couldn't really just throw in some type r cams.....unless i can just swap over the rockers from the type-s motor....not sure if that is possible?????but that relpy was very helpful.....any ep3 owners have their opinions......i would really like to hear a valid argument against it
I have heard from a couple of ep3 owners who have said only good things about the hondata done to thier cars. In every case they said it gave thier car a "kick in the ***" as they put it.
They said hondata actually improved top end and gave low to mid end even more torque. So from all the good replys I would say go with the hondata.

do any of u guys know if and when either the re-flash for boost or a stand alone will be available? i'm going boost and planned on using hondata if they ever came out. btw it's a dc5
More than ever, the performance of the honda is controlled by the ECU, so naturally, more performance tweaks than ever will come from hacking the ECU...
I'm holding out for Hondata's competition to catch up. It's just too expensive to get, especially if it voids the warranty.

Its well worth the money and the customer support is awesome! They work for u to make sure u are comepletely satisfied. If not simpley return it within 30 days to get a full refund. Right now they are working on a reflash for the JRSC. A nitrous flash is also in the worths. hope that helps.
I just got my ecu back to day from hondata and put it back in my car this morning went for a drive. I couldn't believe I was driving the same car. The extra revs make the car twice the threat and the torque is just incredible. If you have an ep3 and dont do this your crazy. Hondata
I sent the ecu out to lawrence at dyno spot racing in san jose on a monday morning got the ecu back from hondata on thursday. Lawrence is real good about sending the ecu out the day he gets it. And hondata sends the ecu back to you the day they get it.

I emailed you 48 hours ago about this. We have a unit in Melbourne I can arrange to get to you. email me - doug@hondata.com with your contact details. The feedback is that the reflash works as well for the Australian cars as it does for the US.
