How long do stock shocks typically last?
After how many miles or years to they start to detoriorate? I am starting to have some unusual noises when road conditions are not smooth, could this be because my shocks are worn?
A good test to see if the stockers are still good is to push down on the right or left rear of the car. One good solid push. The car should compress and then rebound right back into place, without any more movement. If you do that to my car (143K on stock shocks) the car will bounce very slightly. They are worn.

It all depends on the spring rates, your driving and the condition of the shock before.
