Default How secure are the HASport mounts for the B16?

Well, my HASport mounts still allow alot of vibration up from the engine (B16). It's most noticeable on idle, where my tach and side-view mirror shake slightly.

It's not so bad/noticeable once I get going. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

there is no reason for new inserts. this vibration is common with aftermarket mounts since they are made out of polyurethane to make them stiffer. its something you have to live with, but its normal.

I remember reading some where that hasport has 2 types of bushings that could put in. 1 strictly for racing and one that is more for daily driving.

the hasport mounts for daily driving are the ones he has. the road race ones are like skate board wheels in stiffness......theyd drive you insane after 2 minutes if not drivng by the seat of your pants.

That is the worst avatar kid, would you get rid of that stupid nose picking kid......i can see you doing that while posting.

With all of this vibration, i would say the HASport mounts are very secure for the b16

If the mounts are new, then it will vibrate more. They loosen up a little after a few months, and the vibrating is not that bad. But like someone said earlier, if your motor is running bad, then it might vibrate even more.

Yeah the mounts vibrate pretty bad specially in the cold, like someone mentioned earlier. I have to contact hasport though because my rear transmission mount bushing is busted. I believe they replace them for free right?

My mounts softened up a little in the past 3 years. When I first installed them it was like a back massager when I started the car.

i've heard people claim that the hasport mounts arent *as* stiff once the engine bay has warmed up. it makes sense i guess, because when its below zero outside, theres A LOT of vibration and noise in the cabin, but once it comes up to temp, its a lot smoother.

It's just how it is. if you dont already have one, buy a new stereo; the annoying rattles seem to melt away

Hasports are junk to me. First I broke the rear mount, they fixed it for free. Now, the driver side mount is moving back and forth. Bought some AZ mounts and junking the HASports.
