eg proportional valve help
i have a eg hatch cx and i converted the rear to si disk brakes with the cx proportional valve work ork i heard there dial in diffrent im not sure anyone help me please
I've heard that with a rear disc conversion (Im doing ITR brake swap) and master/booster upgrade that with the stock prop valve, more braking power in the front will make the car "dip" forward more because so much brake pressure is going to the front now. I dont know for sure, and I want to know this too, because I might have to get a new prop valve (40/40?). ::Mine is a 92-95 DX hatchback::

i'm going thru the same problem right now, i did a rear disk swap on my 98 civic, upgraded to a 98 gsr M/C, it feels like someone is home when i hit the brakes now, but i jacked the car up and had someone press the brake pedal to the floor and i could turn the rear wheels if i used alot of force...... i need a gsr porportioning valve, that will solve my problems.....my car is eating the front rotors right now until i get that fixed
im planning on doing the same. i took a 40/40 from a 90-93 teg.... wondering if thats the right one, looks like it'll fit. And i also took the 1" MC from the same teg, wondering if it'll bolt on like the 94's and up do
a very knowledgeable brake person who has a crx with rear discs changed the porportioning valve and noticed no significant difference...
but i would rec. the 1" mastercylinder
