weird sounds.. brakes...
my brakes make a clunkin noise when i shift it from park to any gear.. and i have an automatic. but it doesn't make any noise while im drivin and then steppin on the brakes for a red light.. so that part's ok.. it's jsut when the car is in park.. i hope that cleared up the post a little..

My god. My head hurts. I will give this my best shot.
I think you have an auto from what I gathered. So basically when you step on the brake to switch into drive (or any other gear I assume) you have a "clunking" noise. Am I right so far?
When you are driving down the road and you hit your brakes, you get a "clunking" noise, also? (again, I am very confused by your post).
If you do get some kind of vibration or noise when depressing your brake pedal while moving you may have warped rotors.
Now, I'm not to educated in automatic transmissions, so I will have to take a stab at it. If your car makes a sound and/or jerks when being put into gear, that could possibly have something to do with a shortage of transmission fluid, but other than that I don't know what else could be wrong when it comes to auto's.
I hope I have cleared your post up somewhat for future readers, but you may want to go back and edit to... To clear it up.

all420 said most of what i thought
somthing else that can give you a "clunk" when you shift it into gears is bad motor mounts.....but in a 2k2 i realy hope not
i dont know much about the newer accords i have a 4th gen but it should be close
check you brake calipers and make sure they are tight if you did the brakes then make sure all is tight befor you drive and then after about 300-400 miles or so lift it back up and make sure all is still tight
and with the tranny fluid make sure the car and tranny are warm befor you check the fluid and yes you must do it while it is running, but it sounds like it could be low or you have a blockage in your tourqe converter....
i hope this helps if your post was more clear then it would be easier for some of us to help you out...
good luck getting it fixed

u knoe what.. it sumtimes happen and it sumtimes doesn't.. it happens when im on an leveled surafce.. but when im uphill it doesnt happen .. it's all quiet and everything.. geezz.. i hate cars.. could parkin uphill be a problem? freakin eh!!
Have a friend listen outside the car when you get in & make the klunking noise. Have him listen to get the location of the noise. With the hood open & someone listening right there, he should be able to tell if the noise is coming from the brakes, or the driveshafts, or the engine mounts, or wherever... When you're sitting in the drivers seat the location of a noise can be very misleading.

so it makes a CLUNK sound when you shift from park to drive? thats got nothing to do with the brakes, I'd bet money
as already mentioned, it's probably either fluid related, or mount related. check all your motor and tranny mounts. check the fluid level. also check it's condition. It should be red and slippery between your fingers. If it is brownish or black and feels the least bit gritty, you need to change it ASAP
also It would help if you posted the year of your car up

It sounds to me more like a motor mount too. When you park on a hill, do you use your parking brake? If you don't that puts unneccessary stress on motor mounts and drivetrain (transmission) components.
2002 v6 accord man.. i dunt think my ****'s that fukked up since i dirve it with love and all.. hahaha and considering it's almost 2 years old.. hmphs.. man...
