Default 4th gen accord temp control ****...(BROKEN???)

it was cold this morning so she quickly TURN the tempreture ****. I normally turn it slower. It normally clicks every-other time as you turn it, but now when i try turning it is just "slighlent"....

did she break the spring/mechanical thinger inside? the heat dosen't come on too.... so i guess i'm stuck on cold air now.

anyone know how to fix it? it's pissing the hell out of me....( i hate when things break on my car that i didn't do) ..... i go so mad i called her a bitch.....

TIA

The plastic **** itself broke. Buy a new one. They are three or four dollars at the dealer. Just make sure you remove the old metal peice from the shaft or the new one will not fit.

Huh huh, I said shaft.

I don't know about the 4th gen, but on our '98, the little hub inside the plastic **** is easy to break. You can pull it off & turn the shaft with pliers till you get a new ****.

What I did when mine broke was glued it with superglue. It broke again soon after. Then I glued it again and put a little plastic wire (zip tie) tie around the plastic part that goes on the shaft to hold it together. Trim it down really good so it doesn't rub on the dash part. It hasn't had a problem since...

this is a common problem, my honda dealer got a some small metal piece to fit over the plastic shaft so it doesn't break. my **** still likes to spring back to cold though and i freeze when it's cold.
