Default differntial concerns on lsd

yo uhmmm a guy who i work with who owns a gsr told me that the lsd does nothing but drains you car and the transmission includin the battery is this true?

This guy has no idea what he is talking about. A Limited Slip Differential simply takes away power from the wheel that is slipping and sends more to the wheel that is gripping. This helps traction a lot, especially when accellerating around a turn.

Yup, that's why I have an LSD on my Accord ... weee. It does help in auto-x.
