Canadian R goes to Dyno
Took my 2001 r to dyno. Dynojet 248 c. The following are corrected numbers.
Stock timing all belts in place... 169.9 and 121.3
Stock timing minus pwr str...... 173.1 and 123.1
Approx. 20 degrees timing...... 173.9 and 122.5
Approx. 19 degrees timing...... 174.3 and 123.0
These numbers are with only 4500 kms on the car.
Also took car to ST.Thomas dragway.
Stock... best time.... 14.533 @ 96.74 Added AEM a week later....
AEM..... Best time.... 14.369 @ 98.46 Much warmer and more humid this time.
Will post new dyno #'s with AEM in the next week or so. Any comments???

Impressive, can you post your stock dyno chart? It might be interesting to see how the power characteristics differ. That is, does the torque stay on longer? Does it peak higher but fall later? Obviously, your torque figure is quite a bit higher that most ITRs I've seen so far. My best stock torque is around 117.3 (which resulted in around 164HP), this is for a 98.
Those are some damn good dyno numbers and great 1/4 mile times. Looks like I am going to have to advance my timing. As sad as it may be, I already drive without my AC and PS belts. I am testing to see if I can live without the AC and I have just been too lazy to put the power steering belt back in since the last time I was at the dragway.
