i just did a jdm b16a swap into my 88 crx dx with pwo ecu. its had a code 23 (knock sensor) since it warmed up for the first time. just today it started missing and back firing its sounds like the evo 3 on inital d. my buddy told meswap the o2 sensors on the ecu so i did that but it didnt help. some one help me my car sucks!!!!!

Why not fix the knock sensor problem first, then see if it goes away. If its missing that would make me think that its something to do with the spark its getting. Check your dizzy, your spark plug wires and plugs.

 

I had the same problem for the last 4 months. You gotta get a new knock sensor, or wire the one you have. The cel makes your car run rich and retards the timing, and you'll probably end up fouling your plugs.

 

turns out it waswater in the spark plug tubes when it rained last night some how rain got into there im trying to locate some heatsheiled wire for the knock sensor
