OWNED by Diesel Fuel...
What would you do if you let your g/f drive your car and she accidently put diesel fuel in your Type R?
Well. Luckily it wasn't my R, it was her 00 Civic DX. I spoke to a few people about it and they said you have to "drop" the gas tank. Then I was searching around on honda-tech and most of the replies on that topic where that you just had to drain the gas tank with the drain bolt.
I just got it towed to the honda dealership a few minutes ago and I hope that they'll use KY Jelly when they rape me on the repair cost!
Does Diesel fuel smell any different from regular unleaded? I also checked the spark plugs and they are soaking wet in fuel, and there's a little bit of fuel at the bottom of her throttle body. It didn't look like clean gasoline, it looked like gas mixed with oil.
Anyway. I'm trying not to make too much fun of the G/F

How much diesel did she put in the car? Hopefuly she didn't fill up the tank. I had a ex GF that filled up her old Nissan with diesel and it was about $1500 in repairs.
I also have a friend who put just a little bit of diesel in her mom's new RX300. It ran rough for awhile. They kept on putting supreme in there and it eventually went away.

Well, it was about $10 worth, so maybe around ~6 gallons. The car ran for about a block then it died. She was running on Empty so I think the rest of the unleaded burned out and when the diesel hit in died.
Oh well, it's already at the dealership so there's no way to fix it myself ;(

Funny story from Neil Maddox - guy pulled in his shop with a porsche 911, he was in town visiting or some BS. His car was smoking really bad plumes of black smoke, and someone recommended Neil as there really isnt anyone other than him that works on porsches and other odd cars. So neil put on the dog-and-pony show of the fender covers and swept the floor and started pulling plugs and thought he put diesel in the tank. The guy said "oh no... i didnt to that" and had the car towed (125 miles) to NoVa to the Porsche dealer there. Neil knew the svc manager and called him up and just asked for an update on the situation and sure enough dumbass dumped diesel in his porsche 911....
Fortunately the dealership made out with an expensive tuneup on the kar

how's this possible?
every gas station i've ever seen that sells diesel has a diesel nozzel much to large to fit in a normal unleaded gas tank. actually, i think this is regulated by law.

I asked her and she said she really didn't have to force the nozzle in or anything. The pump she was at had 2 nozzles, one for unleaded and the other (green one) for diesel. I don't know how it happened, but that's what seems to have happened.
I've been to other gas stations before that just had 1 nozzle, and you select 87, 89, 91, or diesel.
-skafia, who is now scared of the g/f and is keeping her 100 yards away from the R at all times!

Just goes to show you the intelligence of the people that pump gas. If I pumped gas I sure as hell wouldn't let some chic (even if she's fat or ugly
) fill her car with diesel fuel on a non-diesel car.

You should have seen how bad I freaked when I put regular gas in the R. I was about the drain the tank just for that. Diesal fuel..... I would have ran my self over for being so stupid and careless.
Girls are aloud to do things like this though... only if they are cute/hot! j/k

My R from day 1 has only had Ultra 94 octane fuel from Sunoco..........Luckily my girlfriend can't drive standard.........I would absolutely lose it on her if she ever did that to my car

Drain it, fill it with gas and drop in injector cleaner
