Ok guys i am painting my del sol in a few weeks i am doing a total color change it is going from milano red to pheonix yellow but i was wondering what i should take off the car i was planing on taking off the front and rear bumpers, hood, targa top, trunk lid, headlights, tailights, and posibly the doors. The reason for this is i want to get all the coats of paint even so i thought that with smaller pieces to paint it would be easier so should i take all of that off or is there some that i should leave on

 

Take everything off. I mean everything. Every single little thing that you can take off, should be taken off. Period.

 

Are you paying someone to paint the car or doing it yourself?

 

If it has a screw take it off.

I am doing it i have painted a few cars before but i have never done a color change and i want it to come out looking great

 

yea man,strip it down to the metal. All the interior, windows,lights etc..., good luck

don't forget to take off all the rubber crap in the door jambs and around the windsheild.

 

If you have time and patient, paint the engine bay. The red in going to kill you when the hood is open.
