Default J's racing engine dampner

Anyone have this? With my stock tires wheel hop wasnt really a problem in my EP3 beucase they didnt get any traction at all it was all wheel spin. Now that I got my volks and my paradas I get wheel hop if i try and launch. You guys try out the engine dampner I am just owndering if it is worth the money and if you guys have any feelings on it!!! Thanks

Works great dude... problem is if you can find it in stock although you can always get some engine mount inserts from energy suspension

i plan on doing this mod myself. I want to eliminate the wheel hop but i dont want the vibrations that mount inserts give.

Ya I could get those mount inserts but those are a pain in the *** to put in. Plus the Js racing dampner is adjustable so you could save yoruself from vibration when you want to drive comfortably then stiffen it up when you are at the track or whatever

No the J's is NOT adjustable. I have one on my type-S and I love it. You can actually tell the car is running when you're at a stop light. Slight vibration in the cabin, but it's not bad at all. Definitely a worthwile mod.

i've always been a fan of eliminating the cause of the problem instead of trying to cover the symptoms of the problem.

The ES motor mount inserts are really not all that bad - if you bump the idle from 750rpm to 1000rpm, you will feel zero additional vibration.

and for the money, the j's damper isn't worth it when the real solution to the problem can be had for under 30 bucks (i paid 28 shipped).

So has anyone figured out how to bump the idle up?

Well to me, it seems like raising your idle is also trying to cover the symptons of a problem. Plus it only took maybe 20min to put the J's on, whereas the ES mounts take all day. Oh, and the J's looks good too

The mount inserts are anywhere betwen 30-40 bucks and they are a bitch to put in. YOu are looking at a good day or so of labor getitng those things mounted in. The engine dampner is about 200 bucks but its a straight forward install that'll probaly take you about 15 minutes are so. Suppsively from peoples responses they both work well.

I still would really like to see some pics with the dampner installed on a EP3. thanks

Also where did you guys get yours? Its a hard little peice to find let me know!
