Default Would you buy this 88' CRX w/ B16a1?

would you guys buy it?

"Has Custom Paint Job, JDM B16, AEM Intake, Full Exhaust, Polished 5 Star Rims,
Stage 5 Clutch, Projection Headlights, DC Header, and Full Urethane Body Kit
Asking $7,500 "

the paint is very nice... Midnight Blue... it is from a very reputable shop in my area that does alot of swaps.... I could probably get it for somewhere about $7000. What do you guys think?

Well it seems kinda high, but if it's in good shape, then it's worth it. How's the interior? Has it been in a wreck before?

The ECU and tranny are both from the b16... i don't think the car has ever beenwrecked before... it is an SI... the interior is in good condition.... and the exhaust is Thermal Research.... the engine has about 40k on it.. and the body only has a little over 100k on it...

am i gonna want to change the ecu... or at least have it modded/chipped?

sounds like the seller is trying to get back all the money for the mods... ...pricey for such an old car

negotiate- it may be nice; but I'm sure there is probably a better deal. The car is not worth that even w/ all of the work. I would say don't pay more than like $5000, maybe $5500 tops. Yes, that work cost alot up front- but you come into this game knowing you will never get your money back.......

you guys also have to consider where i am located...
I live in Jersey City, right across the hudson river from NYC...
it's really hard to find rexs here for a good price...
rusty ol' rexs sell for 1500 - 2000...
they are in high demand here and the prices show it....

i wasn't factoring in your location; so maybe 5500-6000 is fair- but definatly try for less & try to get some JDM typr r recaros thrown in

Car does look sharp, considering circumstances, maybe pay 6k for it.... To get a crx to look like that would cost well over 6k

As soon as I saw the links you posted the pics from, I knew the answer right away.

DON'T BUY THIS REX! I live about 15 minutes away from that shop. They are overpriced. I have personally looked at that car. It is fairly nice, but not worth more then 5G's, maybe even 4. The body does have rust. The paint isn't all that good. Trust me dude, it isn't worth it. I didn't even read the rest of your post....

The shop opened up around here about a year ago. I will not put down the shop, or say that they do bad work b/c they do decent work. They supply parts and do engine swaps. In fact, a few of my friends work there. But I do know one thing, they are way overpriced. You know that saying: There is a sucker out there for everything...

Well, that's what it applies to...

I sent you a PM.

how does this sound...
its a CRX with a b18 ls swap

"fully race built bottom end, rebuilt trans w/no grinds, cams, oversized injectors, stage three clutch, there is now a 4-2-1 header on car that is not in pictures, apexi exhaust, intake, reclinable red race seats, rad steer wheel, dvd-cd with screen, monster carbon-f tach, coilovers, battery is relocated to the trunk. Car is strong and fast with no smoke and no grinds. The paint isnt all that great but car has no visible rust. One of my friends has a worked gsr v-tec head---ported, valve job, milled, the head hasnt been on a car yet so its still nice and clean. I was going to buy it from him and do an ls v-tec, He needs 600 for it so if you decide to buy my car and you want a v-tec head I can have it all ready for you for $4600 or $4000 for just the car"

what do u guys thinks? i know i was lookin gor a b16... but how does the ls b18 compare... anyone got any advice or opinions?
