SKUNK2 intake manifold problems, all you guys with S2IM exper, help pease
I just installed a skunk2 intake mani on my 95GSR. Will not run worth a **** now, throwing c0de 2-4, IAC. IAC seems fine replaced it with another off my parts car. same problem. While installing, My evap purge control solenoid valve wiring harness plug broke and i clipped it in, possibly the wrong way, pulled out a harness diagram and it shows a relationship bt the iac and evap solenoid. I plan to rewire that plug and see what happens. Its idleing choppy, then revs to 4k and stays there for a while. All vaccuum lines are ran correct. Gotta replace the IM gasket cause, i didnt get all of the old one off. Its leaking coolant out of the mani at that spot. Shouldnve rushed through that. Any one with some helful input, I could sure use it. Thanks, Jason

That site should give you an idea.
Check all your wires, sensors, and hoses. If the Vacuum hoses are all messed up, that can cause you problems. Sensors cause CEL's, so look into that. Coolent leak? Did you check your coolent hose? I'm not sure about 95 gsr's, but my 2000 GS-R installation, I had to plug up the extra coolent opening on the Skunk2 IM.

Yeah i looked over that install page before hand. Ill look into that coolant opening, thanks for the info. Anybody else, please help me out, this ish is discouraging, i hate to put the stocker back on after all this work. Thanks, keep it comin.
hmm... that sounds like a problem my friend was having with his 91 CRX si with a B16A... I was the MAP sensor, he broke one of the Tee's for the Vaccum lines and the idle got REAL choppy, check your map sensor cables and lines, and check the solenoids that the lines run to, make sure they arent leaking or anything. We actually pulled the Valve cover off to find the oil was milky, so we figured his head gasket was shot and leaking coolant into the oil (cuz thats what it looks like) but some bolts on his oil pan were missing and thats where that came from... I dont think we actually figured out the problem but we fixed it... Im sure it was the hoses on the MAP sensor tho... give that a look over
Its not throwing any codes on the map sensor, but i plan to look it over all day. Any more input please. Thanks
...hmm..well if its leaking coolant then its not sealed correctly! if its not sealed correctly then you have a vacuum leak..if you have a vacuum leak then it will rev extreamly high and stay there til you fix it..(and ruin your unlubercated motor)
look at the clip that plug into the aic valve and the purge control...i think they are the same...switch the plugs from one another and start it..

I had the same problem, it was do to a leak on the tb. So if coolant is leaking out it is definately a vacuum leak causing your problem. First take all that nasty old gasket material of (use dremel w/wire attachment) and put a new one on. HTH
Brought back from dead cause my buddy is doing this to his car soon. So if any other info is available besides what is mentioned, it would be MUCH appreciated, thanks
some things that are never mentioned:
you will need extra hoses for coolant/pcv/vacuum. you can get them at autozone.
obd1 you dont need to T into the pcv hose for the evap?(I forgot what it's called but odb1 doesnt have it) sensor. obd2 you do.
There is no mounting point for the vacuum solenoid thingy (the thing with the round cap on top) on the new intake manifold. I just zip tied it to the firewall.
The fuel line should be replaced with a longer line. It will rub on your intake tube. not good.
