Anyone break one? If so how much hp/tq do you have?

Just wondering if i should look forward to replaceing these soon as well.

 

if and when you replace them, get either dss or a nice steady supply of used axles.

never ever buy advanced auto part axles! you have been warned.

 

I have broke numerous OEM axles on 22" slicks...

and that was only at ~350whp...

 

yeah, but the coefficient of friction for a slick and a street tire is slightly different...

 

My stock axles held fine on my old 22 inch mickey thompsons, but I never managed better than a 1.96 60ft.......this is at ~350 whp at my altitude (5600+ feet)......
We'll see how they like my new M&T's this weeked 24.5 x 8.5 x 15.......
I can't see someone breaking stock H22 axles on street tires, the tires would break loose way before enough stress was put on the axles.....

stock is very strong, until you have to much caster, then they bind and break the outer joints..

corey - who lost 2 races last year because of that..

 

My mechanic was running stock civic axels with a motor running close to 500 whp.. for 2 yrs. Mind u he never made a full power pass cuz of traction issues but he was def pushing over 400 on most passes...still has em. Use the stock axels till they break..
