What size piping is recommended for an h22 with a stock muffler? would 2.5" be suitable or should I just go with the usual 2.25"? Keep in mind that when im daily driving, I want that low end. And when i unbolt my muffler, I want that high end. So whats the medium?
I plan on keeping the stock muffler on for daily driving purposes and unbolting it for racing purposes.

It's like slapping a turbo on your car, but not boosting over vacuum. LOL!
At least get a DC or Apexi WS muffler to keep it quiet...non of that N1 crap either.

your question was already answered, it's not worth the money to upgrade piping without replacing the muffler with something more flow friendly. it defeats the purpose all together.

It is worth it when he unbolts it. I would do 2.5'' piping to the stock muffler. Yeah it won't make much of a difference when connected to the stock muffler, but when he unbolts the muffler it will make much much more power. Also the 2.5'' piping won't kill your lowend at all because the stock muffler is there.
