You'd think this is obvious, but please think carefully before getting a group together and going to see the Fictitious and the Farcical.

Considering the crowd the movie attracts, it's probably better to car pool in a beater. We've had a car stolen, emblems taken, parking lot burn-outs, causing damage to other cars, etc.

me personally, i will not and have not taken my R to the movies once yet and i dun plan on it. rather not risk anything. either i get picked up or i wait for the video!

Toronto, Canada. However, most of those "incidents" were from postings in this forum, most not in this city.

 

i actually went with a group of cars, and there was alot of police on opening nite so i guess we were somewhat lucky that we didnt have anything happen to our cars. but then of course there were a huge row of Z's behind where we parked so if anything those would've been the first cars that got messed with

 

I went with about 20 cars.My roomate had his supra their which he has about $65k in.Needless to say I felt that my little ITR was safe.

I've taken the R to 20 movies, and have been to the mall 100 times no problem yet, but when I went to my brothers graduation someone took my rear plate and fake carbon fiber tag braket. The way I see it is fu@k it and fu@k them. I'm not going to live any different, because of my R, But if I catch someone messing with my R they will get hurt plain and simple, I'll hurt them in so many number of ways that you can all feel safe knowing that ther's one less person going to mess with your R. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

 

I like to use it as bait. The season just opened here. I use my beater as the blind. My county has a 3 punk (in posession) per day limit.

Yoshi, you leave your ITR at the movies in the LA area? Sorry but thats just plain nuts. I've been to LA many times, and I know that cars get stolen just as much in LA as they do in NYC. Be careful!

yosh is being a dork, h-pimp. we rolled (deep, mind j00) in the land cruiser and left aoi's pretty car and rest of our cars at home and stuff. i heard yosh takes the ITR to the skin flicks though. he heard some crap about vtec engines liking extra lubrication.

I generally drive my R everywhere. Movies, malls, park it in bad parts of town. Remember what Master Yoda said (paraphrasing here):

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate is the path to the dark side.

I take this to mean that if I live in fear, then I'll become a "hater" ("hata"?), or worse yet, will eventually become a dark Jedi.

The only thing I fear is door dings and people rubbing the bumpers when I have to parallel park.

i took the Cobra so i was gaurented to be stompin some rice. And i did. Also for some big badass burnouts, nothing beats a pony car

 

We held a car show on the front steps of the theater with police security. I wasn't worried and nothing happened to anyone's car (although I did have to tell some teenagers to stop leaning on one of the guys Supras, he has a really expensive Mystic paint job).

 

I just saw it today at the matinee. didn't see any ricers there and my emblems were just fine

 

Even in North Dakota there are problems with vandalism and this movie. Some friends of mine had no rear windows and rocks thrown all over their cars (talon and si) after the movie. My R wasnt there at the time (thank god). I prefer to drive my 53 vw bug with a baja kit to the mall etc. This movie has caused way too many problems.

 

I actually drove mine there and had no problems. But the thought of course crosses my mind everytime...
