Default Compression and N2O good or bad?

I've heard that n2o like compression, but I've also heard that too much of compression can hurt your starter and that you wouldn't be aviable to run in pump gas. Why questions is how much of compression? I know that cr pistons, milded head affect the compression, just want to know how much of it. Thanx for any help in advance

I wouldnt exceed 11:1 with a small shot and 10:1 for a really big one....N20 likes high CR, but the higher the numbers the harder and more necessarry the tuning

How small and big of a shot are you talking about. Planning on building up my h23 with crower rods and JE pistons, then a NX wet system.
