What size piping to a stock muffler?

What size piping do most recommend and why to a stock muffler?

I plan to get mandrel bent piping to a stock muffler for daily driving purposes and unbolt it for days when im at the track.

i would at least try to get a quiet free flowing muffler. the stock muffler will rob a lot of power from the upgrade.
