Exhaust Options for RSX-S
My friend just recently purchased a new RSX-S, he was thinking of getting the Spoon exhaust and he is really stuck on it cause my other friend has one on his ITR and he loves the sound and to be honest it looks stock which is a good thing. So i figured i'd check here and see what exhausts are out there and your feedback on what you have.
Thanks in advance

I have a fujitsubo powergetter( gonna put it on when I get my check for me being rear ended).
Props to the exhaust:
Excellent sound
Stainless steel
Its quiet at low RPMs and at high its not that loud either
I got mine for $520 but it was from a group buy
Also Fujitsubo is considered the best exhaust manufacturer in japan and the fuji powergetter is in high demand there because of its high quality and its design.
Isn't it purty?

YOu have alot to choose from i got my spoon the first week i bout my type s. Great sound! unique look. Although i do like the options out there:
-Fujitsubo PG
-JIC titanium
-Mugen twin loop
-If you really wanna get rare Mugen race exhaust (JDMhondaparts dc5r)

mugen was my first choice, a friend of mine has it on his type-r with a straight pipe and it sounds quiet as hell and u cant even tell its after market unless ur a mugen freak like me. i ended up going american made with a borla, berto posted a pictorial on the install and i got it for $500 out the door. not loud at all even with the straight pipe.
i checked jdmhondaparts and the spoon rear section is $560 and the JIC bullet is $750 - $1050 i guess the price depends on the application. Now i know with the Integra R's most guys do the T1R b-pipe with the spoon rear. now my question is did they make a T1R b-pipe for the RSX application yet. The fujitsubo(sp?) my friend has the catback on his EK and it is super stealth the sound comes in when the VTEC kicks in and you can barely hear it compared to other systems out there. So im researching that exhaust now, i do love the design of the JIC Bullet.. The titanium look is nice... oh well keep posting ! Thanks again
Be careful, those $320 - $340 mufflers have only a polished tip. They come in a plain white box with no markings, model number or country of origin. It's hard to know what your getting. The more expensive mufflers are fully polished and come in a Spoon box (with even a sticker I understand). Since the cannister is visible on the car, this may be an issue if you're doing car shows or are fussy about appearance.

No wonder why people have asked me if mine were real or not because of my Price I have had/Have (Had at $320shipped and Free Silencer now its $335)
Please Do Not spread rumors....
Boxes - All Say Spoon and have a white 2"x2" Label on the Box end saying Spoon ...... with a part # and some other print.
No Spoon Stickers are included (Never have been included with ANY Spoon part)
The 1st run of the N1 had a Polished Tip ONLY, just like the N1 for DC2, EK, and EG. Newer shipments have Fully Polished systems.
ANYONE charging over $375 as a Normal price for an N1 from Spoon (Except S2000 setup) is a Rip Off or they just get Crappy Pricing themselves.
Most people sell them at $375, most places have specials for about $350 (Not including Shipping or Silencer) Some places like ourselves deal enough Spoon Sports Products to be able to Offer something like $335 with Free Shipping (Aprox $15 savings) and Free Silencer ($45 savings)

No intention of speading rumors, Sorry. I'll just state the facts in my personal situation. My "Spoon N1" came in a plain white box with no label except an "A&J" one, packed with old Vancouver Canada newspaper, sealed with "A&J Racing" tape and "DC5" written in permanent marker on the ends. No where on the box, packing or product did it say "Spoon", "Made in Japan" or have the Spoon stock #18030-DC5.
As far as the actual exhaust, it must be an older version with only a polished tip. The welds are good and clean, piping is 63mm, mandrel bent and only a small, but noticeable dent on the tip detracts from the overall build quality. On a 10 Scale, this would be a "7" compared to "9-10" for my Tanabe Super Medalion.
Considering the price ($320 + shipping) even it said "Acme", it's a fair buy. Just that for car show or resale purposes I have no documentation to represent this as a Spoon product.

NP, Just wanted people to know.
Yes some of the 1st shipment came like that, if you Bought it from A&J you don't have to worry about wether its real or not
The Dent or ding on the tip was most likely from the shipping company.
