I'm at a loss of why you would want to do this.

I reckon that by varying the placement and lengths of the t00bs fore and aft of the 'x-pipe' section you can further tune the resonant frequency.... Get good midrange gains while developing an especially fat power curve in a narrower RPM band.

Dave have you considered doing any intake manifold work?

Were the two secondaries come together, does any exhaust pass between them, or are they just touching on the outside?

I would like to hear the theory behind it. I'm guessing the gas is at a higher velocity in the smaller tubes, and when it crosses over before entering the big tube, it creates a slight suction effect on the other side.

Thats the very principal through which a header works.

Although its not 'suction' is pressure differential (delta P) thats at the business end.

X and H pipes are common in other applications, including on my E30 M3, but this is the first on a Honda/Acura that I've seen. Hope it pans out!
