Alright, well im going to be pulling out the rear interior out of my 91 crx. I need some ideas as to what i can do to it to make it remain light, but yet look good, not just the ugly metal and crap. I was thinking about mounting 2 subs in the back, i dont know how much weight this would add, or how i would do it. Another idea i had was to do mold fiberglass in the back as a mold, then mount subs in there. If anyones got any cool ideas and or pics, show them here! Any ideas as appreciated! Thank you!

Paint it all flat black. Looks good IMO. Or once you have stripped it, get a piece of masonite or something else light that fits and carpet it. Just some quick ideas.

Dont waste your time removing the interior if you are just going to add subs.

 

my two 10's and the box they are in prolly weights about 50lbs or more. Pretty heavy.

 

rear si interior = 12 lb
12lb = not worth removing...
I took mine out and I cant stand all the noise..
it rattles like all hell

 

well guess ill have to make some trips to the junkyard then.. its just that my stupid things dont stay down, like the little cargo hatch thing with the lock on it, the lock is like broke or something.. hmm, where do you think i could get some nice fabric thats like the stock stuff except dark black? Mine is blue right now, i dont enjoy it that much.. I was thinkin about just takin out the whole back, and yea, putting a piece of some kinda light wood or fiberglass over it and then carpeting it.

 

 

Well that certainly would take up the whole rear hatch area, but i dont want one, nor need one.. hah. This car is a daily driver and is good for racing =]
