Default how to install a tachometer

can any one tell me how to install an aftermarket tachometer on a 97 honda civic coupe

and this has to to with a type-r how?? basically there is a signal wire that can be tapped at various places. once you have grounded and powered the tach. conect the rpm wire to rpm signal wire. this is noramlly found at the distributor, ecu or a couple of spots with service ports along the way. i think its blue... maybe green, use a multimeter or helms manual to be sure
