PIAA Yellow H3 Bulbs vs Plasma Glow Yellow Bulbs
Ever since I put my fog lights on, I've wanted yellow fog light bulbs. I went searching and I found some PIAA Yellow Ion bulbs for $44.99 on ebay. After purchasing those, I find some Plasma Glow Yellow H3 bulbs for about $13.99 on ebay. Now I know what you all are thinking. You get what you pay for. Right? Well keep reading and you'll find out.

From here you can see that the PIAA is certainly more yellow then the Plasma Glow bulbs. I was going to do a side by side comparison with the fog lights mounted on the car, but it was alot of work to switch the bulbs around. Plus I'm a lazy bastard.

Here are some pics of the PIAA bulbs on the car.
So far, I love these bulbs. I wish they were as yellow as the is300 fogs, but for now they will have to do.

I used to have Pilot PL-720B ion projector fogs on my old car. They used a normal clear H3 bulb, but the projector lens had this bluish coating that blocked the blue light from escaping, which made the light coming out an intense amber color. From far away they looked exactly like Lexus foglights.
Thanks for all the comments.
These fogs help a tremendous amount with the stock headlights.
Its like a night and day difference.
The yellow seems to light up places my stock headlights don't.
I should of taken pics of the differences.
Here is a pic I found on the net showing the difference between some Philips Blue Vision bulbs and the Piaa Ion yellow ones.

does that say "10 year warranty" on the plasma glow box? if so, that is pretty long for halogen light bulbs.

yeah 10 year warranty
if the company even lasts that long
but yeah I was joking about getting suckered
it was only like 12$ for the bulbs
I wanted to know the difference anyway
so I bought them to find out

that one
its a great deck, you can change the illumination color and it plays mp3's
thats what attracted me to it at first
If your interested in getting one
I'd recommend ebay for the best price
crutchfield is such a rip off
bought it on ebay last year for $350
so I'm betting you can get it even cheaper now

There is a very nice Clarion Pro Audio out right now for MP3's...It's loaded with great features and is around $150 less than that unit. It also has around 80 different colors to choose from. I've been in the market for a good MP3 deck, but am still holding out for something that really grabs me.
yeah I'm sure there are even better decks out now that are alot cheaper
there werent that many mp3 playing decks out at the beginning of last year
I actually bought this deck when it first came out and at the time it was the best mp3 deck imo

Back to topic on your lights...I love ion yellow lights. Back in the day when it was cool...I had yellow headlights and matching PIAA fog lights. I thought I was the **** back then.
