2nd gear
just a fast question here, if there something like a gear protection for second gear as first gear? which when rpm too high that u can't go into the gear, i had the problem this morning, when i tried to shift it to second gear with around 9700 rpm, but it doesn't seen to happen everytime.

shift from 1-2 gear? could be clutch, possibly gear syncro.

9700 rpms?
Holy *****
Well when I shift at 9k going into third, i notice sometimes it doesn't want to go in either. I'm sure 9700 is putting alot of stress on that tranny. The syncro, syncronizes the gear speeds when shifting, this is what allows you to shift on the fly. Acts almost like a clutch.

yes i'm running an ACT HD, and 10k redline, i was doing only 9700 cuz i put back my bottom part of intake and wanted to test it, so basically it's the clutch problem ??? or will a short shifter fix that?

short shifter, or shifting faster isn't going to help, but.. i had similar problem with stock clutch - wouldn't go into gear at 8500-8800rpm all the time, but always grabs once i got unsprung street disk with slighter stronger pressure plate, but most of this has to be due to clutch. - in my case at least.

Yah, i'm pretty much used to the clutch, and since i am not making some serious power there, so i think the clutch doing good too for a daily drive, but wat ppl saying up there is that it's the clutch doesn't let me go in the gear with high rpm??
i'm about 90% sure my tranny is fine, since it doesn't have any werid sound and all gears goes good if i just lower the rpm a bit. and i know it's all stock but a fly wheel, no idea.... it just happens...
maybe u should say that way going to break my alxe someday, so i need to buy yours now

9000 works prefect as usual, but my shifting skill aren't that good, usually drop about 1k when i shift to next gear =\ .

how long have you had the car and did you do the current mods your self. I have a similar thing with my car.... happens once in a blue moon though. There is not anything that acura put in place (like a limiter) but around 10k rpms, you are approaching the limits of the stock ITR tranny.
I am not too supprised that you are having a little trouble shifting at that engine speed. Good Luck.

it's probably the limit to the stock tranny, but i don't think it's tranny that doesn't let me gear in =\
