Default B18B1 into 2G teg

hey all, posting this on behalf of a friend.

he spun a bearing, crank and bearings fubar. rather than rebuilding it, he picked up a B18B1 long block. i've done a bit of searching but just wanted to confirm a few things for hime :

1. the tranny from his 2g WILL bolt up to the B18B1, right?
2. his OBD0 ECU will not work with the injectors and distributor on the B18B1?
3. will the original injectors, ECU, and distributor work with the rest of the B18B1 motor?

anything else we need to know here? i've never done a swap and haven't done much wrenching on anything older than my '00 SH or '02 S2k.

thanks in advance everyone.

1. Yes. All B-series blocks (except for B20A out of the old skool Prelude) have the same tranny bolt-pattern.

2. Just swap over everything from the old motor to the new one (sensors, injectors, distributor, pulley, etc)

3. Yes, as I just somewhat explained in #2

The B18A/B is basically the same motor with some different sensors/parts on them so if you just swap over all of the original B18A stuff onto the new B18B motor, then everything will work just fine.
