help! do i need a tachometer adapter?
alright i have a stock 1995 civic dx with out a tachometer on the cluster. but i bought an autometer tachometer for my car. do i have to have a tachometer adapter for my tachometer?

Ah well, no matter.
Do a search for gauge cluster wiring and you should eventually find a listing that shows what each wire is for. Tap into the wire for the tachometer. It's already there.

so my cluster already has a all the required wires for a tach..just i dont have one on the cluster? so if i can get into the cluster and the tach wire..the tach should work?

Look for a light blue wire on the left plug that's on your cluster. That wire is your tach signal, as for the power and illumination, just tap into a wire that runs to a bulb and take power from the plug where your clock is located in the dash.

that's pretty handy, but with those directions you have to run the tach signal wire all the way to the engine. You can just go right behind your cluster for the same signal!!!
