Since its not On the Zero mark-- guess i'll just have to take off 1 or 2psi from what its reading.
Edit: guess the link isn't working. It should be up soon.

mine is the exact same way.....I dropped it when I first got it and thought thats what the problem was, but now I'm not so sure......maybe it is reading atmospheric pressure but I dont think so......it might be off by a little but for the most part it gives good readings.

My mechanical ultra-lite sits toward the bottom of the "box" when it's supposed to be at zero. It used to sit at the top of the box like this:

i took my boost gauge apart and "adjusted" the copper looking ring that goes along the inside until it was sitting at 0. it works fine now. before, it was off by 10.

My Autometer is off, too. when i shut down my engine, i have to tap the boost gauge to get the needle to rest at zero. it's accurate otherwise, though. about 1/2 psi off of my VAFC, so it's alright. having to tap it is automatic for me now ... don't even think about it, i just do it.

mine is off too, but in VAC when the car is off, I tap it and it goes to 0, lol but its accurate under boost @ 5 psi strong, I guess its just autometer

Autometer have a life time warranty on their products.

Return your meter and they will fix it.

i thought my autometer cobalt boost gauge had a problem too, its the wiring you are using for the power supply, its too much volts. it would read 10 vac at idle and 15 psi in boost, ive used mechanical before and it shows 20 vac and 7 psi.

One time i had a boost spiek on my electronic and it showed 25 psi, i wonder how much that really was. anyways, i tapped the power supply in with the cruise control and it works perfect now

If you notice, the gauges have a wide area at 0. This is because, depending on elevation, atmospheric pressure will be different. Some gauges are just fucked up and read a couple pounds off, but when at 0 it can be at either side of the 0. At high elevation is should be closer to the bottom of the 0 and at sea level should be towards the top. Hope this clears a little bit up...

Mine is almost as yours... Comp-Lite series Autolite.

It reads the right "stock" boost on mine @ 6.5psi, I dunno why is not on the "0"-centered and all ... but it works fine.

i have two button on my autometer ultra light electrical, one is warn and ther other is peak, after reset, i press warn it show me 7psi which is good cause that what i set it to, but when i go to press peak it show me about 11psi but peak is actually 15psi-is my guage fuct up?

another problem is that when i am at idle i see about 25-30in vac, say that i am at idle i go to press the warn button which is suppose to bring the needle up to the 7psi mark but it does not come close to it, so when it done showing me the supposed to be 7psi mark it will try to return to it original location which was about 20-30in vac but it overshoots it. my guage is fuct up now?

wouldn't do it unless you know what you are doing ...so many little spring loaded tiny gears in there!
