Ok, heres my story.
i have a 91 accord but i dont like the rear lights. I saw some clear reds i like on a 92-93 models. I was told b4 that i cant swap lids because the trunk locks dont line up the same.
So i looked around & it looks like the 90-91 latch is in the same place the 92-93 latches are.
Can i just swap lids with no ploblem ?
Or is there some mods i have to do to get them to fit ?
Has anybody done this yet ?
Many are wondering, can anybody give me the facts, thanks

hmmmm....i think you are confused.
the 90-93 SEDAN trunk lids will swap with each other with no problem. Now if you want the red/clear lights, you should just check ebay and see if they have them, cuz with ur car, you dont need to change anything. i've heard that the 90-91 trunk lid is flatter on top, but that doesn't really matter. THe only trunk lids that are different are the 92-93 COUPE trunks. the lock is in a different position.
so you shouldn't have a problem, just look around for the tail lights you want. search for 90-91 tho. anyone correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm 99% sure i'm right

it should
i am gonna be doing the same swap soon
but i got kinda worried when i say two accords sitting at a light in front of me----one was a 90-91 and the other was a 92-93 besides the obviuse the outter lights looked smaller on the 90-91 but i am not sure.. also you would have to get a full set of lights cause the 90-91 have the the brake on bottom and the 92-93 have the brake on top... it might look ok to have the mix but i dont know..
also when you do your swap are you gooing to a stock wing or does your 91 have a stock wing on it now?????
i will try to get more specs like messurments and such

im gonna use a stock wing but i need the facts b4 i start my swap.
if you get a 92-93 lid, just get one with the wing allready on it so the light on the wing is allready wired up.

thats what the plan is
i wanna find a possible trade
the lid i have is shaved
and the lights are painted the same as the body
(makes for a nice look)
here tell me what ya think
i have since added clear tails(just the outters)

Not bad. but i like the look of the candy reds.
stock tails dont do it for me & the altezza lights are so common where i live. Im sick of them.

not true
here RCW (revised code of washington) states there must be a "red reflector on the rear of the vehicle
most of the cops round here dont like the imports or lowriders but how many do??
i mean they associate imports and lowriders with gansters and drug dealers and peps of the like
wich is B.S. cause i do the import scene heavaly and i am a married family man
my wife and kids love cars and music me and my wife used to have two accords she had a coupe i had the sedan
then i traded her coupe for another sedan and am now selling my car so she can get a 4-runner or suburban
i am one of the peps that will fight any ticket i get i read the RCW's often and stay ontop of the laws just so i dont have to worry about getting and "defective equipment" tickets!!
i have had more than my share (83 lude slamed to the ground with a bomb muffler and 5% tint)

the trick is to make what you like fit
thats also the best way to not have "another accord" which is a big problem with all the darn civics you see a bunch that look the same but they are all diferent
